Enviromental Centrum
Client: Prague City Hall, City: Prague, CZ, Completation: 2013 Environmental center is created by renovation of former school heating building. Client's desire was to design an exemplary environmental education center which would be in the same time low-energy building. It shoud atract and affect public thinking. In design, we respected the site shape and we tried to be sensitive to the existing building. Since we were limited by the range of existing concrete frame, we situate the largest hall in the new part of the building. Outdoor stairs give the whole building expressive and dynamic expression. The educational program can run inside and outside, and students will be able to use the building actively and the building became a learning tool. Organically shaped facade in the garden reamin close to nature. The building mirrors shapes seen in nature. In May 2010 we received building permition. Construction documents were created in cooperation with ROTAGROUP Ltd..
